My Half Term

Looking back over my half term, I could say I had a really girly one and it was eventful. I would have liked to have done more but honestly I don't think I could have fitted it in! Besides my personal taxi driver aka my mum, isn't always available, I think I need to look at the other options in future, maybe even a limo!
Have you heard about the new fitness craze called Zumba? Well I had two goes and it was great fun. I saw my old primary school teachers and even the town councillor, its surprising all the different people who go. The teacher is really crazy, she was a professional dancer and a choreographer and she really gets the party going as well as Lady Gaga and Snoop Dog! You have to be careful not to slip over in the sweat! On the same subject I also did some latin and ballroom lessons. I’m a quick learner and I really enjoyed it! Made my mum nearly cry when she saw me waltz around the dance floor, and impressed my sister so much she has joined.
SLEEPOVERS! I had a few and then a few more. Everyone knows that to have a good sleepover you have to have plenty of chocolate. I had a sleepover with the movie Johnny English Reborn and a free makeover at Boots (Its surprising what you can get for free if you ask nicely). Also tried out the new Ask restaurant outside of Chaplefields. I managed to mix my swimming in with another sleepover. Then I had one on the Saturday before going back to school and this time I perfected the chocolate idea with a chocolate fondue.
I could have had some boring days with my mum going into work, by got saved last minute by friends or family. Once I went to my cousins and played on their Xbox - I could either kill them or race them so I have decided they need some more games for christmas, but that is boys for you! It was also nice to catch up with one of my old friends from primary school, we went to see Footloose and ate crepes in John Lewis.
I did the normal shopping trips with my mum and sister which are always good. I got my dress and shoes for the upcoming formal. I even got my haircut at John Olivers.
We went to London in the middle of the holiday. I have always wanted to go to Madame Tussauds and this time I did. I met the stars, took loads of photos and was even grabbed by the Incredible Hulk. It ended with a 4D experience and I even got inspiration for the chocolate fondue from there. After that we took the underground and ate at Planet Hollywood. Then went for a walk down Regent Street, looked in the Liberty store (so old and pretty) and Hamleys toy store (there was a happy dancing man standing outside with a bubble gun). We carried on walking to Oxford Street watching the buskers and dancers on the way and did some shopping before getting the train back home. By the way if you are ever there check out the ‘Forever 21’ store.
Half term ended with a bang! Literally ......I went to the fireworks at Wymondham College.
This isn't everything I did, but overall my half term was pretty good!

Pack up your troubles.....

I was lucky enough recently to see
Eliza Doolittle preform live in concert at
Jimmy's farm!!!

I thought I would do a music review of one her songs I heard that night,
and I have chosen 'Pack up'.
This  is one of my favourite songs because it has got a catchy tune,
in fact it can drive you crazy!!!
You know it's one of the songs that once you start humming it you cant stop,  you dream it
and when you wake up you're still humming it!
It's even got tweeting in it - so you are not only humming it all day but  you are tweeting too!
Its a fun bubbly song, that reminds me of summer  (and the Hollister Store because its often playing in there!)

This song is one of Eliza Doolittle's top hits, released on 5th July 2010 and which got to number 5 in the UK Charts. Lloyd Wade who is a Gospel and R&B singer from London also sings in the song with Eliza , whose real name by the way is Eliza Caird.

A tongue twister today!

Said a blog reading parrot named Hooey,
"The words on this blog are all phooey.
When you say then, your lips
will make slips and back flips
and your tongue may end up in Saint Looey!"

Love is all around us - Part 1:

All you have to do look!!!

The White giraffe by Lauren St John

Today my teacher told me to blog a bit about one of my
favourite books!

The white giraffe by Lauren St John is a book I have read recently, and
is really stuck in my mind. This is because it is exciting, fun to read and interesting.

The story is about a girl called Martine whose parents have both died. She is eleven when she goes to
live on a game reserve in Africa with her grandmother. She finds Africa
a place full of mysteries and secrets, and one night she finds a  young giraffe in
the moonlight and his skin is silver tinged with cinnamon! She discovers she has a
natural gift with animals and the uses it to help them!

I wont give too much of the story away, but I recommend this book to
girls around 12 years old, who like animals and learning about other countries!
